Mr. Abd El Hamid Abou Moussa
Board Member
Mr. Abou Moussa has a long and reputable career that spans over more than 45 years in the banking sector. HE was appointed as the governor of Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt in 1994. Prior to this, he worked for the Central Bank of Egypt for 16 years.
Mr. Abou Moussa is also a board member in many local, Arab and international institutions including the Board of the Accounting and Auditing Standards (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions Authority in Bahrain), DMI Group-Holding/Geneva, Ithmaar Bank of Bahrain, Supervisors Council Investment property (Waqf Fund) of the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah and the Islamic Financial Services Board – Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia.
Mr. Abou Moussa holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting as well as a diploma in finance from the University of Cairo, he also received postgraduate diploma from the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
