Dr. Saleh is serving as an advisor to the Prime minister and the Egyptian Cabinet for Economic Affairs. She held several tenures in the field of public work, including sitting on the board of The Holding Company for Food Industries. She is the Dean of the College of International Transport and Logistics at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria. Dr. Saleh worked as an Economics Professor at Northwestern University and Loyola University in the United States. She also worked with the IMF, the World Bank and the Federal Reserve Bank in various projects and research. Over the years, she participated in a number of consultancy projects for the Middle East and the United States.

Dr. Saleh holds a Ph.D. and a Masters degree in economics and finance from the University of Illinois in Chicago. She also holds a Masters of Arts in International and Development Economics from the American University in Cairo.
